As a family-owned and operated business, family is incredibly important to the owners of Dignified Day.  Sisters and business partners Stephanie Moore and Erin White make it their mission to provide a space where individuals can feel comfortable and at home while receiving the care they need!

 

Management

Erin White, MA, BHScWellness and Recreational Manager - Erin has always been passionate about the well-being of others, which is what persuaded her to achieve  an undergraduate degree Honors Bachelor in Health Science from Western University.  Erin decided to continue her education and pursue the prestigious degree of a Masters of Arts in Health, Aging, & Society from McMaster University. Not only was the focus of Erin’s post-secondary studies entirely about the care and quality of life of vulnerable populations, but she also devoted much of her spare time to volunteering with this demographic within the life enrichment field. The enjoyment this experience brought her, coupled with the knowledge and skill she obtained through her education, Erin began working in the long-term care field in recreation and restorative therapy.  This inspired Erin to take her education and experience further and to take on a new venture that she hopes will be able to assist many local families that she knows are in need.

 

Stephanie Moore, NM: Food Service and Operations Manager - Stephanie began her culinary career by taking the culinary arts program at St. Clair College.  A few years later Stephanie then achieved one of the greatest honours in Canada’s culinary world by becoming a Red Seal Chef, a prestigious certification of apprenticeship and a professional endorsement of skills, experience, and creativity. After years of working in fine-dining establishments, Stephanie decided to alter her career path by becoming a chef in a long-term care residence.  The enjoyment she got through this experience inspired Stephanie to further her education by enrolling in the Nutrition Management program. Stephanie then became the Food Service Supervisor at Berkshire Care Centre, which gave her great knowledge and experience in a managerial role.  Stephanie’s experience in the health care industry coupled with her passion for improving the quality of life of others is what will help her be successful in this new venture.
